Find out more about Invest Salone at this week’s ANDE conference

Invest Salone, the UK government-funded private sector development initiative, is showcasing its participation in this week’s Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) annual conference, with the launch of a dedicated microsite focussing on its work to boost exports and investment in Sierra Leone.

The ANDE conference – under the theme of “Accelerating Action: Small Business Solutions and the SDGs” – is taking place in Ghana from 12 to 14 September, and aims to identify how small and growing businesses can enhance their impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) over the next seven years.

Among the conference speakers is Invest Salone’s Pooja Melwani, whose talk, “Facilitating a favourable investment climate – lessons from Sierra Leone”, will take place on 14 September. Pooja will discuss how Invest Salone works closely with public and private stakeholders and leverages a range of adaptable and flexible private sector development strategies in its work.

As part of its support for collaboration and investment in Sierra Leone, Invest Salone’s consultants, Pooja Melwani, Mark Thomas and Emma Fofanah will be available for one-on-one and group meetings throughout the conference.
