The team is supported by consultants with a wide range of expertise related to the development of key sectors in Sierra Leone. Amina Adams provides administrative and logistical support to the team, including event management and team travel. With over 10 years of experience in administrative management, she is responsible for developing and implementing effective office management and administrative policies and processes for Invest Salone.

Avril Pratt

Consultant

Avril Pratt focusses on strengthening and promoting the tourism, textiles and poultry sectors in Sierra Leone to attract investment and generate exports. Avril works to identify market development system constraints and collaborates with private sector stakeholders to find and implement solutions. She also works on the COMPETE Salone grant facilities to support the introduction of new business models that overcome market constraints.

Consultant

Christian Chileshe supports firms seeking export opportunities, working with them to identify and address constraints and improve their competitiveness. Christian is a private sector development specialist with 30 years’ experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, using a range of proven business models to address firm performance and growth and build private sector capacity.

Chukwu-Emeka Chikezie

Team Lead

Chukwu-Emeka Chikezie is responsible for stakeholder engagement, influence and representation for the Invest Salone programme. As a private sector development specialist with over 30 years’ experience globally, in Europe, North America and across Africa, particularly in Sierra Leone, Chukwu-Emeka works closely with the private sector, investors, government and ecosystem partners to facilitate inclusive economic growth and public–private dialogue in Sierra Leone. He further provides leadership for the team and guides the vision and strategy of the programme.

Consultant

David Bathalomew is responsible for researching and analysing policy and regulatory opportunities and constraints, to unlock exports and investment in Sierra Leone and tackle emerging issues. He also supports Invest Salone’s reform-oriented activities and public–private dialogue.

Emma Fofanah has 20 years’ experience in trade, investments, and private sector development with key sector expertise in agriculture, financial services/banking and telecommunications. She supports across the Invest Salone portfolio, with specific focus working with firms to identify and address constraints faced and promoting the adoption of sustainable finance practices by investors, the public sector and within financial institutions.

Pooja Melwani works to link investors and firms to encourage and facilitate investment in Sierra Leone. Pooja oversees the PROSPER Salone grant facility which supports investors to enter Sierra Leone or grow their investment pipeline. She further supports new instruments that address market constraints and crowd-in green finance.
